Equipment Rental Agreement
Effective Date: January 7, 2026
Provider 24Dry Rentals LLC ("Owner")
Renter The individual or entity identified at the time of online checkout ("Renter")
This Equipment Rental Agreement ("Agreement") governs the rental of water damage and restoration equipment ("Equipment") from the Owner to the Renter. By completing the checkout process on the 24Dry platform, the Renter agrees to the following terms:
1 Rental Period and Automated Billing
- 1.1. Initial Term: The rental begins the moment the Access Code is generated and expires 24 hours later ("Initial Term").
- 1.2. Automatic Renewal: After the Initial Term, this Agreement automatically renews for successive 24-hour periods ("Renewal Terms") until the Equipment is properly returned according to the procedures in Section 5.
- 1.3. Daily Rate: The Renter will be billed the daily rate specified at checkout for each 24-hour period.
- 1.4. Payment Authorization: The Renter authorizes the Owner to automatically charge the credit card on file for each Renewal Term until the return is verified.
2 Security Deposit
- 2.1. Deposit Amount: A refundable security deposit of $200.00 is required at checkout.
- 2.2. Refund Policy: The deposit will be refunded in full within 3–5 business days of the Equipment being returned, provided the Equipment is returned on time, undamaged, and clean.
- 2.3. Deductions: The Owner reserves the right to apply the deposit toward unpaid rental fees, cleaning fees, or repair costs for Equipment damage.
3 Equipment Use and Guidance
- 3.1. Condition: Renter acknowledges the Equipment is received in good working order.
- 3.2. Support: Every piece of Equipment is equipped with a QR Code. Renter is responsible for scanning this code to access video instructions and setup guides. Failure to use the Equipment according to these guides is at the Renter’s own risk.
- 3.3. Safety: Renter assumes all responsibility for the safe operation of the Equipment. This includes ensuring proper electrical circuits are used (e.g., GFCI protection) to prevent fire or injury.
4 Unmanned Pickup and Cage Access
- 4.1. Access Codes: Renter is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the 4-digit access code provided at checkout.
- 4.2. Identity: Only the Renter is authorized to access the assigned locker/cage. Any damage to the locker or surrounding property during pickup is the responsibility of the Renter.
5 Return Procedures (CRITICAL)
5.1. Finalizing Return:
To stop the billing cycle, the Renter must:
- Place the Equipment back in the assigned cage.
- Secure the lock.
- Submit a photo via the 24Dry Return Portal showing the items inside the locked cage.
5.2. Verification: Rental fees continue to accrue until the photo is successfully submitted and the cage status is updated to "Available" in the system.
6 Damage, Loss, and Theft
- 6.1. Repair Costs: Renter is liable for the full cost of repair or replacement of any Equipment damaged, lost, or stolen during the rental period.
- 6.2. Total Loss: If Equipment is not returned within 14 days, it will be considered a total loss, and the Renter will be charged the full replacement value of the Equipment in addition to accrued rental fees.
7 Limitation of Liability
- 7.1. No Warranty: The Owner provides Equipment "as-is" without any warranty of fitness for a particular purpose.
- 7.2. Indemnification: Renter agrees to indemnify and hold harmless 24Dry Rentals LLC and its franchisees from any claims, damages, or injuries resulting from the use, transport, or storage of the Equipment.
